Before The Fig Leaves: Gender and the Image of God

Ours is an age of rapid cultural change.  Gone are the days of our grandparents in which the basic Christian understanding of truth and reality was the default perspective of the culture.  At every point it seems the former assumptions are being challenged and the epicenter of that challenge is coming on the issue of gender and sexuality.  As Christians we must wrestle with how to think clearly in this new age and especially how to minister to our neighbors. We are excited to have Rev. Steve Froehlich as our speaker at this spring's City of God lecture.  As a minister in a university town, Steve has worked long and hard to grapple with the Biblical teaching on gender and what it means to love those with whom we disagree.

The evening begins at 7pm with hot and cold hors d'oeuvres and wine followed by our featured lecture just after 8 pm.  Following the lecture there will be a 15 minute intermission during which time guests may grab some coffee and desserts as they reflect on the evenings topic.  We will then reconvene for a brief time of Q and A with our speaker led by Bill Spanjer.  All guests are welcomed to stay and fellowship afterwards as long as they would like to. We look forward to seeing you there.

Event Location and Cost: The evening's events will take place at the Wallkill River School of Art and Art Gallery in Montgomery, NY (click here for directions).  The cost for this event is $35 per ticket.  Save 15% on the purchase of two or more tickets.
